LOS ANGELES (AP) – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shared some unfortunate news back home: He and his family tested positive for the coronavirus.
Johnson announced their diagnosis in a video of more than 11 minutes on Instagram on Wednesday. He said he was shocked after hearing their positive tests, calling the ordeal “one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever faced.”
The actor said he, his wife, Lauren Hashian, and two young daughters have contracted the virus, but have now recovered. He said his daughters “came back” after a few days of sore throats.
But for Johnson and his wife, he said they were both struggling.
Johnson said he and his family had contracted the virus from close relatives, who told him they did not know where they had contracted the virus.
Johnson said the ordeal made him more aware. He made several suggestions on how to fight the virus, such as wearing a mask, strengthening your immune system and focusing on well-being.
