The Zonal Coordination 8, of the The Daily News Box (MSP), began on September 8 the formal and timely delivery of the information required by the Municipality of Guayaquil, in response to the order issued on August 31, 2020, which establishes that This State portfolio provides daily georeferenced data of patients with a positive diagnosis of COVID-19.
The report sent details data such as names, addresses, identification numbers of people who tested positive for RT-PCR tests and the total number of infected people, and includes data on whether the patient is from the Buenos Aires city or from other cantons or provinces; inclusive, those who arrived by air and fulfilled their Mandatory Preventive Isolation (APO) for hotels and citizens belonging to the five vulnerable groups (pregnant women, minors, people with disabilities, the elderly and people with catastrophic illnesses).
The The Daily News Box delivered this information, complying with the provision sent by José Olvera Barboto, judge of the North Judicial Unit No. 02 of the Family, Women, Children and Adolescents of Guayaquil, within the Access to Public Information Action No. 09201-2020-01864, filed by the Cantonal COE, despite the prohibition to disclose it without the express authorization of its owner, since it violates the right to confidentiality and the protection of citizens’ personal data.
