NRL confirms new dates for postponed matches

In an overloaded schedule this season, the National Rugby League has managed to find free dates. While the first two days of Pro D2 were disrupted by the spread of the coronavirus within several clubs, four meetings had to be postponed to a later date, which was confirmed on Tuesday by the NRL. Regarding the 1st day, the matches between Rouen and Carcassonne and Oyonnax against Montauban will both take place on Saturday October 3 with a kick-off set at 6:00 p.m. That same day, but with a kick-off this time scheduled for 9:00 p.m., the match of the 2nd day will take place between Perpignan and Mont-de-Marsan. Regarding the match between Colomiers and Rouen, still on behalf of the 2nd day, the weekend of November 13 was chosen to play the match but the exact schedule remains to be determined by the LNR.

The programming of the Top 14 modified

The LNR also had to review the schedule of matches for the 3rd day of the Top 14, scheduled for October 2 to 4, after the two weekends devoted to the quarter-finals and semi-finals of European competitions. Indeed, in order to ensure its broadcaster a meeting on Friday evening and another on Sunday evening, the NRL has decided to schedule two matches on these crucial time slots. Regarding the 3rd day, the match between Brive and Pau goes from Saturday late afternoon to Friday evening in parallel with Stade Fran├žais Paris-Bayonne. For Sunday evening, it is the match between Montpellier and Castres which goes from Saturday to Sunday at 7:00 p.m., just before the Toulouse-Toulon poster, which will kick off at 9:00 p.m. A modified program which will be reproduced until further notice due to the risks of postponing meetings at the last moment in the event of the spread of the coronavirus in clubs.
