For the start of the Bundesliga season version 2020-2021, Bayern Munich has put things right in their first match. The reigning champions largely dominated Schalke 04 in a one-sided encounter. Serge Gnabry’s first goal, from the fourth minute of play, could make one think of a difficult evening for Schalke and it was indeed the case. The striker eliminated Benjamin Stambouli with a hook before striking from the left in a clear manner. Subsequently, Leon Goretzka (17th) and Robert Lewandowski (30th) were also able to make the difference to bring the score to 3-0.
Overwhelming domination for Bayern Munich
As soon as he got back from the locker room, Gnabry got his double (47th), before registering a treble (59th). Bayern Munich completely dominating the proceedings, continued at an intense pace by scoring a sixth goal through Thomas Muller. Following a blow from Lewandowski’s scarf, the German, with a volley from the left, made the score 6-0. Two minutes later, Leroy Sané came to join the party. Launched by Joshua Kimmich, the former Manchester City element appeared alone against Ralf Fährmann to score.

Musiala (82nd), too, scored in favor of the players led by Hans-Dieter Flick. With 10 minutes remaining, the score of 8-0 was by no means a scandal. Schalke 04, at this point in the game, had only shot once on goal. For its entry into the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich is positioned, once again, as the big favorite, with a card.
