Tadej Pogacar (SLO / UAE Team Emirates) – Stage winner and yellow jersey

“I feel like I’m dreaming, it’s like my head is exploding. I was already happy with my second place, and now I have the yellow jersey. I don’t know what to say, it’s amazing. I don’t know how I did this. Taking the yellow jersey on the last day, I dreamed of it and we did it with the whole team, with whom I made the reconnaissance. I knew every corner, every place I had to accelerate. I attacked like crazy at the end, and I succeeded. I couldn’t even hear what was being said on the radio because there was too much noise. In fact, when I was younger, my dream was just to participate in the Tour de France and now I have the yellow jersey. After the Vuelta I thought I was able to fight with the best, but not to win the yellow jersey of the Tour this way. I’m also sorry about Primoz Roglic, he had a very good Tour de France so far (Saturday) and he had a bad day. ”

Primoz Roglic (SLO / Jumbo-Visma) – 5th on stage

“Of course I’m disappointed but I just have to say ‘hat’ to Tadej Pogacar who deserves his victory. That’s all I can say. I may not have pushed enough. Today (Saturday) I was faster than others but maybe I didn’t do the right thing. I am disappointed with the result but I also gave everything. It was great as a Tour de France, especially in this very special year, I hope the public had fun and enjoyed watching this Tour. ”

Rémi Cavagna (FRA / Deceuninck-Quick Step) – 6th of the stage

“I think I did a good time trial, nothing more. I gave it my all at the end even if it didn’t suit me too much. I fought well anyway. I decided to ride La Planche des Belles Filles with my time trial bike. I think I gained 20 to 30 seconds compared to the others who had changed bikes. It’s a bit hard on the legs at first when you have to get back to it. But in the descent of the Col de la Chevestraye, I was able to recover well and I knew that the hardest part was for the end. I really wanted to get down there and be strong, that’s what I did. I saved some for the end, I’m happy with my time. ”

Thibaut Pinot (FRA / Groupama-FDJ) – 19th on the stage

“I enjoyed myself even though my legs hurt. I had a lot of chills, I’m glad it was great. I didn’t expect all of these people. When you’re in Mélisey, when the audience moves away and you’re at over 50 km / h, it’s a little scary but it’s so good. I don’t know if I will relive these emotions in my career. A stopwatch in my village, I don’t think there will be one every year and that’s why we had to savor today (Saturday). My time is correct, I was in the Top 10 crossing the line, it’s a time that I could have liked in full possession of my means but that’s how it is. It’s frustrating not being able to do what I wanted. ”

Guillaume Martin (FRA / Cofidis) – 26th of the stage

“I tried to be diligent. On the first part, I suffered a lot. I finish this Tour in a correct way. The general, it is not really the essential that I retain. I really think I have improved. In terms of sensations, I finish this Tour really better. Without several material problems and falls on the second part of the Tour, I could hope for better, he nuances. I had the top 10 in my legs. ”

Julian Alaphilippe (FRA / Deceuninck-Quick Step) – 60th of the stage

“We’ve been aware of Rémi Cavagna’s potential for a while, he has shown it in recent weeks. Everyone was happy for him when he won the national title and finally he arrived on the Tour de France in rather special circumstances, with the retirement at the last moment of Zdenek Stybar, but it is a great reward for him. With the addition of a passage through Clermont where we made a nice breakaway together. We knew he was going to have fun at this time with his beautiful blue-white-red combination, he performed well and I hope it will hold up. There are big clients who are going to arrive, but Rémi is one of those big clients now. Me, I did the maximum but it was not easy. ”

Sam Bennett (IRL / Deceuninck-Quick Step) – 131st stage and green jersey

“I remain cautious. There is still a day of racing, so I’ll celebrate the green jersey when I bring it home… if I bring it back. I’m not going to sleep quite calmly, there are two important ‘stages’ to be taken tomorrow (Sunday), an intermediate sprint then the final finish on the Champs-Elysées. If I manage to win there in green it would be extraordinary, a dream. “
