Sam Bennett (IRL / Deceuninck-Quick Step) – Winner of the stage and the points classification

“I can’t express what I feel, to find myself here with the green jersey having won the Champs-Elysées stage. Here are the world sprint championships. I never thought I would win here, and with the green jersey on top, it’s fantastic. I am part of a dream team. It is an incredible feeling. The suffering in the mountains was worth it. It took me so long to get there, now I’m going to savor every detail of this victory. The final was really technical and fast, I was very nervous when we went to the front. My teammates almost destroyed the race right from the tunnel and I thought it was a bit too early. I let the Trek-Segafredo guys start their acceleration first and then I went. I thought I was going to get passed, I can’t believe I won. “

Wout van Aert (PBS / Jumbo-Visma) – 6th on the stage

“Our preparation was not perfect. Normally Amund Grondahl Jansen is in his role to take me, because he does the same for Dylan Groenewegen. But he had a mechanical problem on the last lap. I had to find my position myself and it worked pretty well, because I approached the last corner with a lot of speed. But, I wasted too much time bypassing Elia Viviani. It was a fantastic Tour, with a bitter end. But now I look forward to the world championships. I will now relax at home for two days and then I will leave for Imola on Wednesday, to discover the course there on Thursday. “

Hugo Hofstetter (FRA / Israel Start-Up Nation) – 8th on stage

“You have to be realistic, I had very good legs but I think Sam Bennett has a real team, completely around him. I don’t know if I can hope to win one day on the Champs-Elysées. What is certain is that we need to have a little more support. It’s a shame because Nils Politt had a puncture and Tom van Asbroeck also had a problem. It was two teammates that I missed in the final. It’s a shame, on our own we made a lot of efforts to keep the wheels, to get back and fight a little before the sprint. I had the right wheel with Alexander Kristoff but I did not find the opening when it was time to go. This is where we pay for the efforts made to replace ourselves individually. That’s five places in the Top 10, plus two more times I had it in the legs and I couldn’t do the sprint. You have to know how to be satisfied with things. I’m happy to have arrived on the Champs-Elysées and to have shown that I am consistent in the sprint. “

Primoz Roglic (SLO / Jumbo-Visma) – 39th in the stage and 2nd in the general classification

“Of course, I would have preferred to win. But I am proud of the work accomplished in the team, we showed great things for three weeks. Congratulations to Tadej Pogacar, he showed that he deserved his victory. We’ll see in the future if I can still win a Tour, but I’m not thinking about it at the moment, I am moving forward from day to day and I want to take advantage of this moment. Because despite everything, I prepared for months and I am happy with what we have achieved. “

Tadej Pogacar (SLO / UAE Team Emirates) – 41st on the stage and winner of the Tour de France

“It’s incredible, it’s really crazy to be the winner of the Tour de France. Even if I had finished second or even further, I would have been happy to be there. It’s the top of the top. I can’t describe it in words. Today (Sunday) is a very special day that I spent with my teammates. Finally, we had some time to talk on the bike, while the other days we were all the time at full speed. I think all the riders in the peloton came to congratulate me today (Sunday). This sport is crazy! “

Miguel Angel Lopez (COL / Astana) – 59th in the stage and 6th in the general classification

“I think I had a good Tour de France. It was really nice to make my debut in this great race and to do it until the end when I arrived in Paris. I liked this race so much, I was competitive, I was always in contact with the best riders and I won a good stage. I was close to a big result and getting on the podium, but I missed a day to reach my goal. It is a valuable experience and I am sure I will come back stronger. I want to thank all my teammates and the staff for these three weeks. It was something incredible. “

Guillaume Martin (FRA / Cofidis) – 105th in the stage and 11th in the general classification

“I finished this Tour really well, I was even able to work today (Sunday) to help Elia Viviani have a good sprint. We came close to a stage victory at the start of the Tour, with several places on the podium. The team has been waiting for this for several years, but we are on the right track. The season continues, starting next week with the Worlds, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Tour of Spain. I hope that at the World Cup, the jersey will be at the end for the France team, we have good cards for that. “

Marc Hirschi (SUI / Sunweb) – 138th on the stage and Super-Combatif on the Tour

“There was a first big moment, at the start, in Nice. I thought I would join some breakaways to win, but I finished second from the 2nd stage and I was disappointed. Then I went on a breakaway and didn’t think I could be this strong in the long passes. Finally, I managed to win the 12th stage, it was a great relief. Afterwards, I took advantage of the last week. Now it’s a great feeling to finish on the finish line here. “
