ATLANTA (AP) – Georgia State Patrol arrested rapper Lil Yachty this month after he was reportedly caught driving more than 150 mph on a highway in Atlanta.
Troopers pulled a white Ferrari behind the wheel on Sept. 21 with the 23-year-old rapper named Miles McCollum, State Patrol said.
An officer had tracked the car after seeing it speeding and swinging in and out of traffic on the highway near downtown, according to a State Patrol incident report obtained through news outlets.
McCollum was taken to Atlanta City jail and charged with reckless driving and speeding, the agency said. He has since been released.
The performer established his red Ferrari in the same area in June after it got out of control. Witnesses told investigators that the roads were wet and that McCollum was traveling at high speed at the time, news outlets reported.
The rapper spoke about the recent speed in a video on the Tik Tok app and said, among other things: “Yes. It happened. … children slow down. “
