Casually, Julian Draxler is making his mark at the start of the season. Captain and scorer with Germany in a friendly against Turkey on Wednesday (3-3), the midfielder also scratches playing time with PSG. Scorer against Metz and Angers, the former Wolfsburg has chosen not to leave France this summer, and explained this choice in the columns of Sport Bild : “It was difficult to find a club that could have suited me. It wasn’t, so I decided to keep trying my luck in Paris, he explained. I had a good conversation with Thomas Tuchel. I felt I still had the option of being used, that I had certainly not been put aside. I didn’t feel the pressure to change. The schedule for this season is tight. We have a lot of games with Paris and I think I will play a lot ”.

“The overall project must be correct”

But Draxler has only one year of contract left and it is not expected to be extended until next summer. The German therefore briefly mentioned the rest. ” The top priority is not to sign a contract with the same salary, he assures. The overall project just has to be correct. With playing time, good football and an important role for me. Next year, things will be easier if I am free and another club does not have to negotiate a transfer with Paris ”. Everything seems clear.
