Third in Jeep Elite with two wins in two games, Le Mans announced on Thursday the extension of Alain Koffi’s contract until the end of the season. The pivot, who turns 37 next month, returned to MSB this summer as a medical freelance writer for Williams Narace, who suffered a wrist injury and was due to be away for two months. But he will ultimately go through to the end of the 2020-21 fiscal year. “If he hadn’t yet played in official competition because of the latter’s quick return, he was involved in all professional group training. Quite naturally, the obvious was obvious. The MSB and Alain could not stop there. The loop is well and truly complete. Always together », Writes the Sarthois club on its website.

Koffi champion with Le Mans in 2006

Alain Koffi and Le Mans is indeed a long love story. Born in Abidjan, the pivot with 47 selections for the French team arrived at the MSB at 17, made his professional debut there and played in Pro A with the Sarthois club from 2002 to 2009. After one season at Badalone in Spain, he returned for four new seasons at Antarès. The adventure ended in 2014 (he then played in Rouen, Pau and Gravelines), with a full track record: 2006 French champion, winner of the 2004 and 2009 French Cup, winner of the Semaine des As 2006 , 2009 and 2014. But the adventure has finally resumed this season. To end in style?
