Deprived of his match in Mont-de-Marsan due to coronavirus in his ranks, Oyonnax is no longer alone at the top of the Pro D2. The USO players were indeed able to see Vannes snatch the victory against Béziers and come back to height. Missed from their first half, the Bretons were able to score only nine points thanks to the boot of Christophe Hilsenbeck while suffering the game, conceding two tries signed Morgan Eames and Nicolas Plazy before the half hour of play. Led by 17 points 30 minutes from the end of the match, the Vannetais turned the game around thanks to a collective try and two goals from Gwenaël Duplenne before a drop from Pierre Popelin at the last second gave them victory (29- 26). Aurillac, thanks to tests by Thomas Vincent and Thomas Salles, was able to take the best of Nevers (23-17) to get closer to the podium.

Rouen has its first success

The other event of this evening will remain the first victory this season for Rouen in the league. Beaten by Perpignan, Biarritz and Carcassonne, the Normans first relied on Peter Lydon to stay in the match after a difficult first 20 minutes, marked by a try from Ledua Mau. Coming back to a length at the very start of the second period, the Rouennais conceded a second try signed Pierre Lafitte half an hour from the end of the match but, thanks to Shane O’Leary, the RNR equalized 23 minutes from the end Match. Benjamin Noble thought he had offered the victory at home to Angoumoisins but, two minutes from the siren, Dean Adamson released Rouen for a short but precious success (24-28). Colomiers, for his part, confirmed that his inaugural defeat at Valence Romans was just a mishap. The Columérins have, in fact, taken advantage of their trip to Aix-en-Provence to dominate Provence Rugby (15-23) and sign a third success in a row to move up to sixth place.
