Trip to Milan missed for ASVEL

ASVEL is hard at the start of the season. While players TJ Parker and Frédéric Fauthoux have only one victory in three Jeep Elite games, their Euroleague record remains stuck at zero success in two days. After their short setback in Valencia at the start of the season, the Villeurbanne failed on the floor of Milan. And yet, it was the teammates of Amine Noua (12 points) and Moustapha Fall (10 points, 8 rebounds) who took the game by the right end, leading by five lengths at the very start of the first quarter. But a 7-0 allowed the Milanese to take the advantage on the scoreboard to never let go. In front of three lengths at the end of the first ten minutes, the teammates of Shavon Shields (17 points, 7 rebounds) started the second with a 9-2 which allowed them to reach the bar of ten lengths.

ASVEL faltered at the end of the match

A lead that the Lombards were able to increase to fourteen lengths before the Villeurbanne experienced a flashback. Thanks to a 12-5 to finish the second half, the players of President Tony Parker were able to return to five points when they returned to their locker room. TJ Parker’s private speech quickly produced an effect, the ASVEL very quickly returning to two lengths … before exploding in flight. In the process, the Milanese lined up a 10-0 to send their opponents back to their dear studies even if, with only seven points behind ten minutes from the end of the meeting, the Rhone could still hope. But a thunderous start to the last quarter allowed the Italian club to give themselves a mark of fourteen lengths which was more than enough to go for victory by the same gap (87-73). ASVEL is still looking for the right fuel at European level, but above all it will have to quickly find it to hope to exist in the competition.
