Basket Landes does not stop
After a first success at Villeneuve d’Ascq, the Landaises confirmed the trend when they moved to Landerneau. A match started strong with a 12-5 to start and a 7-0 to conclude the first quarter with a margin of ten lengths in favor of the teammates of Valériane Vukosavljevic (28 points). The Bretons did better than resist before half-time with a delay limited to twelve points when they returned to their locker room. The teammates of Ezinne Kalu (18 points, 7 assists) and Elodie Naigre (18 points) raised the tone in the third quarter to return to four lengths before giving in in the last ten minutes for a loss of eight lengths ( 77-85).
Villeneuve d’Ascq in the snatch
Villeneuve d’Ascq, for his part, found the right fuel for the reception of Charnay … but it was not easy. The Burgundy players started the game much better to lead by nine points after ten minutes of play. But Haley Peter’s teammates (12 points, 7 rebounds) accelerated before half-time to lead by four points in the return to the cloakrooms. Led by Mikayla Cowling (14 points, 6 rebounds), Charnay did not give up to turn the situation around before the last quarter. Thanks to two free throws from Courtney Hurt (3 points, 6 rebounds), the Northerners snatched an extension which turned in their favor (64-57 AD).
