Judge declares inadmissible protection action against the MSP and ARCSA – The Daily News Box

Judge rejected the protection action against the The Daily News Box (MSP) and the Agency for Regulation, Control and Sanitary Surveillance (ARCSA), presented by groups of citizens who demanded that chlorine dioxide, called by them “Magistral Formula ”Is allowed as part of treatment for COVID-19.

In court, the technical defense of the MSP demonstrated that the action did not comply with the requirements established in article 40 of the Organic Law of Jurisdictional Guarantees and Constitutional Control. While María Belén Mena, Amicus Curiae, explained about the distribution, use and commercialization of this chemical substance.

The MSP constantly updates the information and issues timely alerts regarding the consumption of chlorine dioxide, which does not have scientific studies that support the effectiveness of its use for the cure of COVID-19 and that on the contrary causes adverse reactions and damages the Citizen health, as part of these alerts, 28 cases of chlorine dioxide poisoning are registered, two of them died.

Likewise, it informs about the possible actions and sanctions that health professionals may have who prescribe or recommend the use of said chemical to their patients, which also does not have the corresponding health registry.

From June to date, the ARCSA carried out controls on approximately 1,620 establishments nationwide, among them, pharmacies, pharmaceutical distributors, marketers of hygienic products and places that sell natural products for medicinal use, where around 315 dioxide products were seized. of chlorine that were sold.

Nor has this entity received requests to approve products related to chlorine dioxide as a possible treatment for COVID-19. While on a global scale, no Health Regulatory Agency endorses the human consumption of products of this substance.

Citizens are advised not to consume or distribute products that contain Chlorine dioxide, or purchase drugs or medical devices through social networks or virtual commerce platforms, which are not authorized spaces for their sale.
