This Thursday, Thomas Tuchel announced at a press conference that his workforce would be very weakened for the trip to Nîmes on Friday. Marco Verratti and Julian Draxler returned injured from the international break, Mauro Icardi was hit in the knee, Thilo Kehrer is still in the infirmary, Danilo Pereira and Colin Dagba are contact cases for the Covid-19, Angel Di Maria, Marquinhos and Layvin Kurzawa are suspended.

The good news, however, concerns Ander Herrera as the Spanish midfielder tested negative and returned to training on Thursday.. He announced it on his Twitter account. Enough to join the group – or even hope for a starting place? As it stands, the presence of the former Mancunien in the Gard on Friday is not guaranteed.
