We will not see Pablo Zabaleta on the football fields again. At 35, the Argentine defender chose to say stop. He let his fans know through a moving message posted on social media on Saturday. The former international albiceleste hangs up after 18 professional seasons. Zabaleta has only played for four teams during his run, namely San Lorenzo, Barcelona Espanyol, Manchester City and West Ham. And it was with the Sky Blues that he had his best years. Between 2008 and 2017, he made 333 matches with this team (12 goals scored), notably participating in the conquest of two league titles in England and two FA Cups. Zabaleta has also been international 58 times. He was part of the Argentinian group vice-world champion in 2014.
