The adventure of the French Romain Grosjean and the Danish Kevin Magnussen in the Formula 1 team Haas is about to end. Indeed, according to information fromAutohebdo, published in its edition of the week, the two pilots should be replaced, while rumors to this effect have been circulating for some time now. Indeed, the wealthy Russian oligarch Dmitry Mazepin, whose fortune exceeds one billion dollars, is behind it all. The latter would have thus approached Gene Haas, the current owner of the team. Indeed, Mazepin intends to reserve a tub for his own son Nikita. A situation that would thus recall that of the Racing Point team where Lance Stroll drives a single-seater in the team that belongs to his own father, Lawrence.

An officialization before the Portuguese Grand Prix?

In this agreement concerning Haas, the amount of which is also estimated at several million euros, should also be accompanied by other conditions. The latter could thus see in particular the promotion of another Formula 2 driver, to occupy the second seat of the team. Among the names already mentioned, we can cite that of Callum Ilott. The latter could thus land in the team, on the condition that Mick Schumacher makes his place in the Alfa Romeo team. For his part, Dmitry Mazepin would also have in a corner of his head the total redemption of Haas, in the short term. In the meantime, Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen would already be aware of this decision and an officialization could even take place before the Grand Prix of Portugal, which takes place this weekend. An end of the 2020 season which should therefore be the last for the two men with Haas.
