Almost seven months after the interruption of the competition by the coronavirus, the 6 Nations Tournament resumes its rights this Saturday. Currently fourth in the standings, Ireland will host Italy with the hope of returning to England and France, co-leaders in the standings before the last day played next weekend. For this decisive meeting, Andy Farrell has decided to trust the youth with four players who will make their first steps in the jersey of the XV du Trèfle. On the wing, Hugo Keenan will celebrate his first start in the selection as Will Connors in the third row. On the bench, pillar Ed Byrne and scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park will be ready to come into play during the meeting. The rest of the team is made from experience with notably Conor Murray and Jonathan Sexton to form the hinge.

Italy to launch Garbisi into the deep end

On the Italian side, Franco Smith has also decided to bring some fresh blood to his starting XV. At only 20 years old, the opening half of Benetton Treviso Paolo Garbisi will start on the lawn of the Aviva Stadium and will form the hinge of the Squadra Azzurra with Marcello Violi. Two rookies will also be on the sidelines with hooker Gianmarco Licchesi and three-quarter center Federico Mori who will come into play during the meeting for their first selection.
