The The Daily News Box (MSP) received a total of 600 personal protection supplies, valued at approximately USD 6,000, from the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito 23 de Julio, in order to protect the health personnel who are in front line facing the pandemic, caused by COVID-19.
This Friday, at the MSP warehouses, located south of Quito, Eduardo Zea, National Undersecretary for Health Promotion and Equality, received the protection equipment from Jorge Cruz, representative of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito 23 de July.
Zea, said that in the moments that the country lives it is pleasant to feel the solidarity on the part of the companies and institutions. “This donation will be used by doctors, nurses, assistants, imaging personnel, clinical laboratory, among others, who will welcome this contribution from the Cooperative.”
Cruz mentioned that this is a show of recognition for health professionals and personnel. “These biosecurity kits will provide the necessary protection to face the health emergency.”
Supplies such as biosecurity suits, KN95 masks and helmet-type visors will be distributed according to need in hospitals and health homes, nationwide.
This action is a reflection of the cooperation of private institutions, in order to better face the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
