PSG held their rank on Wednesday evening during their opposition against Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League. Although they came across a catchy opponent, the champions of France snatched victory without much difficulty, thanks in particular to a double from Moïse Kean (2-0). The contract is fulfilled and the players did not fail to rejoice after the game, just like their coach. The only downside is Neymar’s injury.

Thomas Tuchel (PSG coach): “We lack preparation, we lack a lot of players. It’s not easy because last season was demanding for us, we had confinement, we played a final, another final, in Portugal, and during the Champions League final, Ligue 1 started. Kylian said for example that he felt tired. I think he said it’s the start of the championship and he feels like it’s the end of the championship. (…) There are a lot of injuries, and now might be the time to fight! To try to win matches that may not be the best matches in PSG history, and I can assure you that we know that (…) I will protect my players because I know the effort that they provide every day, every week ”.

Moise Kean (PSG striker on RMC Sport): ” It’s a beginning. It will give me the strength to keep working hard for the next few games. I will know how to be ready for my teammates. “

Layvin Kurzawa (PSG defender on RMC Sport): “We won, that’s what we wanted to do. Afterwards, in the game, we will have to improve. Some things have been good, others not. We play every three days, so we’ll have time to work on that for the next matches. Surprised? No. We knew we were going to fall against a team that was going to put aggression into the game. It’s true that we may have lacked communication in the first half. We corrected things in second, and that won us the match (…) Personally, I was able to work. I did my prep, in fact, during this time. I just feel good. I have a safe and I will continue to work to have more ”.
