The Stade de Reims has made a strong gesture to fight against the coronavirus pandemic. While the whole of France is confined, the Champagne club has unveiled a change of sponsor in this troubled period. Usually, the team led by David Guion wears the sponsor “Maison France Confort” on their jersey in the center of their tunic, but it will be replaced by “Stay at home ” .

The jersey will be displayed against Strasbourg, Sunday in Ligue 1 (3 p.m.). On its official website, the club has indicated the reason for this approach, which is not new.

The jerseys offered to the Reims CHU Action Fund for a solidarity auction

“He had known popular success, driven by solidarity! Imagined last March during confinement, the solidarity jersey where the major sponsor of the Stade de Reims “Maisons France Confort” became “Stay at home” had seen its 200 copies leave in a few hours. Jerseys sold on the SDR online store at a price of 60 euros for which the club had donated 100% of the sale to the Reims University Hospital, while Maisons France Confort (HEXAOM Group) made an equivalent donation to the medical establishment. 24,000 euros which were used in the acquisition of material and equipment for hospital staff, on the front line in the face of COVID.

As the second wave of the epidemic swept across the whole of France, the Stade de Reims and the leaders of the HEXAOM Group insisted on re-insisting on this message which should be hammered out again and again. Thus, rather than displaying the “Maisons France Confort” brand in the front position, the HEXAOM Group takes advantage of this prime location on the red and white tunic to remind those who will follow the meeting: # RestezÀLaMaison! A message that precedes a charity campaign since these match jerseys will then be offered to the Reims CHU Action Fund, which will organize a solidarity auction. Sunday, to follow this SDR-RCSA behind closed doors, you will have to be at home. To stem this second wave, the SDR and HEXAOM urge you to stay there! “, can we read on the official website of the Stade de Reims.
