Nantes did not miss its test. On the occasion of the reception of its runner-up, Venelles, the Loire-Atlantique club confirmed its perfect start to the season with a fifth three-point success in five games played. Yet it was the Venelles players who started the game the best, winning eight of the first ten points. The Nantes women, led by Carli Snyder (17 points) gradually raised the bar to win the first round. The second set was not the same with the players of Cyril Ong who quickly took the lead to make the break. With their backs to the wall, Amanda Coneo Cardona’s teammates (16 points) took the lead for most of the third round but it was the Nantes women who had the last word (25-23, 25-14, 28-26). A clear success that allows them to take four points ahead of Venelles, which has one more game played.

Terville-Florange and Marcq-en-Barœul at ease outside

Beaten by Mulhouse last weekend, the Terville-Florange players took advantage of their trip to Mougins to come back up to the Alsatians in the standings, with all the same two games played in addition. After a hungry start to the first set, the TFOC players raised the tone to win the first set when the second set was in two stages. While the Mougins players dominated the first half, it was the Mosellanes who concluded before dominating a one-sided third set to win (22-25, 19-25, 22-25) and climb to the fourth rank. After Saint-Raphaël, it was Marcq-en-Barœul who had the best of Paris-Saint-Cloud. The Northerners, after conceding the first point of the first set, left nothing to their opponents. The Parisiennes, after having counted six points in advance at the start of the second round, cracked before losing in three dry sets (11-25, 23-25, 22-25) and seeing their evening opponent pick up in the standings .
