Rafael Nadal finally wants to be sacred in Paris! Not at Roland Garros where he triumphed thirteen times but on the floor of the Accor Arena. The Rolex Paris Masters (2-8 November) flees the Spaniard’s huge list despite seven participations. This year, he has the opportunity to put an end to this bad series, all the more so with the absences of Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem. Rafael Nadal intends to play in the capital, to prepare perfectly for the London Masters (November 15-22) that he has, like the RPM, never had the chance to glean. The left-hander is pumped up, he believes in his chances in the two tournaments which mark the end of the season.

Nadal finally wants to win at the end of the season

“I hope so (win one or both)! What is certain is that, in previous years, I arrived at the end of the season quite tired. Physically, sometimes also mentally. On the indoor courts, I need to be fresh to be able to express myself. On this kind of surface, I need to be in great shape. Historically, at Bercy, I have often had problems, I had to withdraw a few times. On the other hand, at the Masters, I often went to the semis (three times) or to the final (twice). But, considering the level of the participants, it is a very hard tournament to win. I’m going to do as I have done throughout my career: give the best of myself to give myself a chance to win, ”he said. Injuries have crippled him at Bercy, like last season when he forfeited his semi-final against Denis Shapovalov, but Rafael Nadal has turned the page of the past. “I’m not going to let the fear of an injury bite me,” he added. The Spaniard’s conquest of Paris will begin on Wednesday against the winner of the match between Filip Krajinovic and Feliciano Lopez. The start of a series of matches is what Carlos Moya’s protégé must hope for.
