Victoria Beckham has invited the Dukes of Sussex and those of Cambridge to her son’s wedding to Nicola Peltz.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton have been invited by Victoria Beckham to the wedding of her son Brooklyn Beckham, who announced his engagement to American actress Nicola Peltz in July, the Express newspaper published this Sunday.
Victoria has reportedly reached out to the Duchess of Sussex this year following her and Prince Harry’s decision to step down as royalty.
Ms. Beckham and her husband, soccer star David, are friends with both the Sussexes and the Cambridges.
But royal observers have noted that the two royal couples barely spoke to each other during their last public appearance at the Commonwealth Day service in March.
A source told the English daily The Mirror: “Victoria has been helping Meghan with her move to Los Angeles and Meghan has helped promote Victoria’s fashion line.”
“But Vic has been concerned about inviting Meghan and Harry along with Kate and William to the wedding.”
“She is not only concerned with how everyone will feel seeing each other together, but also how attention will definitely be diverted from Brooklyn and Nicola.”
The source added: “David urged Vic not to stress over it and has insisted that the royal family will know how to handle the situation.”
Brooklyn, 21, and his fiancee have postponed their wedding until 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
He is planning to host two wedding events, one in Florida and the other in the Cotswolds for both sides of the family.
Nicola, 25, is the daughter of American mogul Nelson Peltz.
Peltz is known for her roles in the films The Last Airbender and Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told The Mirror’s Pod’s Save The Queen podcast that Prince William and Prince Harry could “never” mend their alleged breakup.
