Saint-Amand-les-Eaux received Toulon-Saint-Cyr this Sunday in the Butagaz Energie League. This meeting of the 3rd day was initially to be played on September 27 but was postponed due to four cases of coronavirus in the ranks of Toulon. Last in the standings before this match, Laurent Puigségur’s players took the opportunity to glean their first victory (27-26) of the season. With three goals early in the match, Dounia Abdourahim allowed the visitors to quickly take the lead. A four-goal gap formed midway through the first period. On this same gap, half-time was whistled and the Northerners returned with much better intentions on the floor.

First victory of the season for Toulon

The Toulonnaises scored only two goals in the first ten minutes of the second act. A failure of goals that allowed Saint-Amand to return to equalize at 18-18. But immediately, the match slipped into the hands of the players of Florence Sauval. They conceded five consecutive goals, the score was increased to 20-25. The reaction of the locals at the end of the match was too late. Toulon-Saint-Cyr won and was able to rejoice in counting on Marine Dupuis (6 goals), Marine Julien (4 goals) and Chloé Bulleux (4 goals), decisive. A victory which allows him to leave the red zone to find himself twelfth, tied on points with Nice, Mérignac and Besançon.
