Failed debut for Cholet in the Champions League! The CB, which is competing for the first time in its history and had not played in the European Cup since the 2013-14 season, began his 2020-21 campaign with an 82-75 loss on the Tsmoki Minsk court. The Choletais experienced a black hole during the second quarter, and never recovered. They were indeed in the wake of the Belarusians after the first ten minutes (19-17), but conceded a 26-16 in the second quarter, which turned out to be crippling, since they never again managed to get past.

Hrovat shone

On the contrary, Minsk was up to 18 points ahead and Cholet did not manage to come back to less than six points (56-50, 28th). The victory in the third (19-16) and the fourth quarter (23-21) will remain anecdotal, it is with the defeat that the Choletais will leave Belarus. We will still note the good game of Gregor Hrovat, who finished with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. CB are currently second in Group C, where only one game has been played so far. Next week, the Mauges club will visit the Israelis of Hapoel Holon.
