The actor has returned his three Golden Globes to the HFPA in protest of the lack of diversity in the organization.

Daring actor Tom Cruise has registered his strong protest against the HFPA’s lack of diversity and has returned all three of his Golden Globe trophies.

‘Mission Impossible’ star Tom became the latest star to protest when he returned his awards to the HFPA amid reports that NBC will not air the 2022 annual awards ceremony.

The Golden Globes came under scrutiny this year for the lack of inclusion and representation of its members from the HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association).

The 58-year-old superstar previously won two for best actor (Jerry Maguire and Born on the Fourth of July) and one for best supporting actor for Magnolia.

Tom Cruise joined Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson when they called on the industry to ‘stay away’ from the Globes until substantial reforms were implemented. Amazon, Netflix and WarnerMedia have announced boycotts of the HFPA.
