“Better Call Saul” star Bob Oedenkirk plays a humble suburban dad who breaks badly – very badly – in the new thriller “Nobody” – which teased Universal at the Super Bowl with a 30-second spot.
Oedenkirk’s transformation is triggered when two thieves break into his suburban home one night and he refuses to defend himself or his family, hoping to avoid serious violence. His teenage son Blake (Gage Munroe) is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca (Connie Nielsen), only seems to move further away.
Nurturing a long-slumbering rage, he soon follows a brutal path that will uncover dark secrets and deadly abilities as he pits himself against a villain (Alexey Serebryakov, Amazon’s “McMafia”) to thwart his image as “nobody”. .
The film also stars Christopher Lloyd and musician-actor RZA, whose own hidden talents help Hutch in his quest for revenge.
