Management of the Government of the Meeting will provide vaccines to prevent diseases in children – The Daily News Box

Starting in October, the The Daily News Box (MSP) will progressively deploy the vaccination campaign nationwide to complete the pending doses of the regular schedule in children under 5 years of age. That is, administer vaccines against diseases such as Measles, Pneumococcus, Rotavirus, Yellow Fever, Polio, Diphtheria, Chickenpox, among others.

The objective is to protect the well-being and integral health of girls and boys. The corresponding doses will be applied as established by the national immunization schedule for each age.

The Government of the Encounter received the National Immunization Strategy (ENI) with shortages and stock breakage of certain vaccines. “When we arrived they were not financed, nor had they paid for vaccines. We carried out the procedures to obtain funds and were able to pay 17 million dollars. In this way, we guarantee vaccine doses from October 1, distributed in all areas, ”said the Minister of Health, Ximena Garzón, this Tuesday, September 14, during the conversation with the media.

The current ministerial management prioritized as investment in vaccines and medical devices (syringes) close to USD 64,041,073, as well as the strengthening of the cold chain. These resources will allow vaccines and syringes corresponding to 2020 and 2021 to reach the country.

Vaccination is considered the most effective sanitary measure for the control of infectious diseases after the availability of drinking water.

The MSP maintains a planned process of acquiring biologics to increase vaccination coverage, which translates into a reduction in childhood illnesses and infant mortality.
