Billie Eilish says she lost followers on social media after she started sharing more of her body.

The singer “Bury a Friend”, who just released her second album Happier than ever, spoke to Elle magazine about the release of her latest work, and how the shift in her fashion choices made some fans uncomfortable.

Eilish rose to fame with an aesthetic that included oversized sweatshirts and baggy pants, but lately he’s been exploring more form-fitting styles. In a recent Instagram post, she wore a corset with a lace bra underneath — something that drew the ire of trolls who disapproved of the change.

“People hold on to these memories and have an attachment. But it’s very degrading,” Eilish told the magazine, “I lost 100,000 followers just because of the boobs. People are afraid of big breasts.”

This isn’t the first time the Grammy winner has spoken out about how her changing style has sparked backlash. In May, the artist told the British Fashion that she was done playing by someone else’s rules for how to dress. That photo spread, in which she first looked like a pin-up glam—posting plenty of corset-and-lingerie follow-up photos to her Instagram—upset a lot of fans who apparently weren’t ready for the style change.

“Suddenly you’re a hypocrite when you want to show your skin, and you’re easy and you’re a slut and you’re a whore,” she explained to Fashion. “If I am, then I am proud. Me and all the girls are whores, and fuck it, you know? Let’s turn it around and be strengthened in it. Showing your body and showing your skin – or not – shouldn’t take away any respect from you.”

Earlier this month, a platinum blonde Eilish appeared at the Met Gala in a blushing ball gown, her high-glam look inspired by Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly.

She said Fashion in a livestream of her fashion choice: “I’ve always wanted to do this but I was just scared and I wasn’t comfortable in my own skin and I feel like I finally did it. I feel like I’m so much grown in the last few years.”
